The Art Fund and Royal Museums Greenwich need our help, to raise nearly £10m to save one of the most important works of art in British history from being sold to a private collector and hidden from the world. The Armada portrait of Elizabeth I, once owned by Sir Francis Drake and painted to commemorate the defeat of the Spanish Armada in 1588 is up for sale.
